Once your card has been added to your mobile wallet, look for the contactless payment wave symbol at checkout. Then, simply hold your phone near the payment terminal until the payment processes. Mobile Wallet FAQs

Here are some common questions to help you understand how to use your mobile wallet for payments.

Mobile payments refer to using your smartphone, smartwatch or other devices to make purchases. Instead of swiping a physical card, you can pay with your device by holding it near a contactless reader.

A mobile wallet is an app on your phone or device that stores a digital version of your debit card or credit card. Instead of keeping your actual card number, it uses a unique identifier (like a token or virtual account number) to process payments.

Yes, mobile wallets like Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay don't store your actual debit or credit card number. Instead, they use secure alternatives.

  • Apple Pay uses a unique token (Device Account Number) instead of your card number.
  • Google Pay assigns a virtual account number to your card for transactions.
  • Samsung Pay also uses tokenization, replacing your card number with a secure token.

These methods ensure your actual card details are never shared with merchants, keeping your information safe.

Apple Pay: You can add up to 12 cards on newer devices and up to 8 cards on older devices.

Google Pay: You can add an unlimited number of cards, depending on your device's storage.

Samsung Pay: You can add up to 10 cards per device.

Yes, your card can be added to multiple devices. You'll be notified when your card is added to each device.

If you lose your phone or device, your payment information is protected, and you can take additional steps to secure your account. First, call MIDFLORIDA immediately at (863) 688-3733 or toll free (866) 913-3733 to report that your card information has been compromised. Additionally, with many phones, you can log into your phone's settings and lock or erase your phone remotely (using Apple's Find my iPhone, Google's Find My Device, or Samsung's Find My Mobile).

If you need to make a return for a purchase made with a mobile wallet, you may be asked to provide the cashier the last four digits of your device account number or virtual account number, depending on the type of mobile wallet used, instead of the last few digits of your card number. You can find this information in your mobile wallet app under card details.  If needed, you may be asked to hold your phone or device near the payment terminal and authenticate, similar to how you completed the original purchase.

Yes. To remove your card, go to your mobile wallet app and tap the card you want to remove. In most cases, look for More Options or three dots to indicate more options. Then select Remove Card.

Terms for Adding Your MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Card to a Digital Wallet

These Terms for Adding Your MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Card to a Digital Wallet (the “Terms”) apply when you choose to add a MIDFLORIDA Credit Union credit card or debit card (“Card,” or “MIDFLORIDA Card”) to a Digital Wallet, such as Apple Pay®, Samsung Pay, Google Pay or any other digital wallet (collectively referred to as “Digital Wallet” or “Wallet”). In these Terms, “you” and “your” refer to the cardholder of the MIDFLORIDA Card, and “we,” “us,” “our,” and “MIDFLORIDA” refer to the issuer of your Card, MIDFLORIDA Credit Union. By using your Card, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions, the terms and conditions disclosed in the separate Credit Card Agreement, the Account Agreements and Disclosures, the Electronic Services Agreement and Disclosure, and any future amendments to these agreements or any other agreements applicable to a Card (collectively, the "Agreement").  IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, DO NOT ADD YOUR CARD TO ANY DIGITAL WALLET.

When you add a MIDFLORIDA Card to the Wallet, you agree to these Terms:

Adding Your Card. You can add an eligible MIDFLORIDA Card to the Wallet by following the instructions of the Wallet provider. Only Cards that we indicate are eligible can be added to the Wallet. If your Card or underlying account is not in good standing or if you are not a member in good standing of MIDFLORIDA, that Card will not be eligible to enroll in the Wallet. MIDFLORIDA Credit Union reserves the right to deny enrollment of any card. When you add a MIDFLORIDA Card to the Wallet, the Wallet allows you to use the Card to enter into transactions where the Wallet is accepted. The Wallet may not be accepted at all places where your MIDFLORIDA Card is accepted.

Your MIDFLORIDA Card Terms Do Not Change. The terms and account agreement that govern your Card do not change when you add your Card to the Wallet. The Wallet simply provides another way for you to make purchases with the Card. Any applicable interest, fees, and charges that apply to your Card will also apply when you use the Wallet to access your Card.  MIDFLORIDA Credit Union currently does not charge you any additional fees for adding your Card to the Wallet or using your Card in the Wallet. The Wallet provider and other third parties such as wireless companies or data service providers may charge you fees.

MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Is Not Responsible for the Wallet. MIDFLORIDA Credit Union is not the provider of the Wallet, and we are not responsible for providing the Wallet service to you and we are not responsible for the security, accuracy, legality, or any other aspect of the content or function of the Wallet or any third party’s products or services provided in connection with the Wallet. Securing your Wallet. You agree to take every precaution to ensure the safety, security and integrity of your account and transactions when using the Wallet. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your Wallet, your IDs, passwords and any other means that you may have from time to time to access the Wallet and the device you use to access it.  It is recommended that you use tracking features (e.g. “Find My iPhone”) to avoid loss of your device.  You should notify us and the Wallet provider and request that we cancel your card if the device is lost or stolen, and it contains your MIDFLORIDA card information.

You agree that we can contact you by email at any email address you provide to us in connection with any MIDFLORIDA Credit Union account. It may include contact from companies working on our behalf to service your accounts. You agree to update your contact information with us when it changes.

Removing Your MIDFLORIDA Card from the Wallet. You should contact the Wallet provider on how to remove a Card from the Wallet. We can also block a MIDFLORIDA Card in the Wallet from purchases at any time, after you contact us.  We may require that you submit the request in writing.

Governing Law and Disputes. These Terms are governed by federal law and, to the extent that state law applies, the laws of the state that apply to the agreement under which your MIDFLORIDA Card is covered. Disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms will be subject to any dispute resolution procedures in your Card agreement.

Ending or Changing these Terms; Assignments. We can terminate these Terms at any time. We can also change these Terms, or add or delete any items in these Terms, at any time. We will provide notice if required by law. We can also assign these Terms. You cannot change these terms, but you can terminate these Terms at any time by removing all MIDFLORIDA Cards from the Wallet. You may not assign these Terms.
